You can't drink underage if you want to go into law enforcement right?
Ok my friend and I want to go into law enforcement and we're both in college. He's 18 and I'm 19, he decided he wants to go to a party and said I should go with him. Basically, I told him he's an idiot and tried talking to him but he isn't listening. He doesn't think it will matter but thats breaking the law so if you want to enforce the law shouldn't you be able to abide by it yourself? If he drinks underage his future is gone when it comes to anything to do with law enforcement right??
If they want to know, they'll find out from someone or a polygraph test. Thank you both

If you get caught, it's something you'll have to end up explaining for for the rest of your lives any time someone does a background check. An underage drinking charge isn't going to block you from getting a job in law enforcement, but it does add a tick mark to the "don't hire" column. If you end up with too many things in that column, it could end up preventing you from getting the job you want.

It definitely wouldn't look good on one's record, however I don't know how they would find out, but it definitely wouldn't help.
