How do i get rid of the "White screen on death" for the ipod touch?
My friend jailbroke his ipod touch a couple of days ago (14-8 days) and today it was working fine until he started charging it and it got the "white screen of death" any ideas o n how to fix it ? I was thinking of jail breaking my ipod touch aswell but im afraid i might get the "white screen of death"

First:
Try doing a hard reset by holding the Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds simultaneously.
If that doesn't work, then put it in DFU mode (plenty of guides on the web), and since restoring didn't work, try downgrading the firmware by holding shift while pressing Restore and select the 2.2.1 firmware (you gotta download it)
If THAT doesn't work, let the battery run out and then try to see if it works.
IF THAT doesn't work, take it to Apple. They'll most likely say the software's been tampered with, yada yada yada, not help you, yada yada yada. Apple knows if you've jailbroken it or not. I would try to somehow remove the jailbreak so it appears like a malfunction problem.
