    Answer is d. They have the same genes in the same order, but the alleles may be different and that is why you can have heterozygotes Aa as well as homozygotes AA and aa.

    shall we anticipate that the homologous chromosomes have heterozygous alleles. for this reason, both pairs may be AaBb. The ensuing haploids cells may be AB, Ab, aB, and ab. With 3 pairs, the genotype may be AaBbCc and the ensuing haploid cells may be ABC, ABc, AbC, aBC, Abc, aBc, abC, and abc. So, 4 cells for 2 pairs and eight cells for 3 pairs.
