Why can't I connect to wifi after updating my iPhone to iOS6?

I just updated my 4S to iOS6 using the wifi update on the iPhone itself. But now after updating it, every time I try connecting to my wifi, Apple.com suddenly opens up with a banner at the top that says Log In and the apple.com page says the page can't be found. Why is this happening? I always could just touch my network and it would be connected. Now, this is what happens. What is wrong? How do I fix it?

Had the same problem -- iPhone 4S going to weird Page Not Found "Log In" screen upon trying to connect to home WiFi after iOS6 update -- and I seem to have resolved it, sort of by accident.

Long story short, put the iPhone 4S into Restore Mode, and then take it back out of Restore Mode without actually doing a restore. To do so:

    - Hold the Power and Home button simultaneously for 10 seconds. (Screen will go black).

    - Let go of the Power button now, but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds. (If connected to your computer, you'll probably hear a noise as the connection resets).

Now your screen should be black on your phone and you're in Restore Mode. It'll behave as if it's bricked. Now, instead of going through with the restore, just get back out of Restore Mode. To do so:

    - Hold the Power and Home button simultaneously again, for 5 seconds. The apple logo should pop up onscreen & the phone should reboot, all data still intact.

After I did this, the wifi was working again just fine, while still keeping iOS 6.

No idea why this solved the problem or if it will work for others here, but for whatever reason, this did it for me.

Oh, and for those who haven't updated to iOS 6 on their iPhone 4s -- don't bother, unless you're really itching for Passbook. It's just a headache, 5.1 was working just fine for me. Bleh. I hate these updates, they always screw up more than they fix on pre-existing devices.

I was also having this problem. I tried resetting the network settings, but that did not help fix the problem. I turned the wifi off and back on multiple times and eventually that fixed the problem for me. The wifi has been working fine ever since.

Keep hitting cancel on the apple.com browser and then click on that wifi network - I had to do it 3-4 times but my wifi connected.

I think I may have found the answer to the problem. Go into Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Hit the arrow next to your network -> Forget this network.

Then go back and turn on "Ask to Join Networks". try to connect to your network again, and it should work (at least it did on my iPhone 4 that was having this issue).

    Hope this helps.

Youtube is now a app you download from the app store. much better app than previously.

To get wifi to work I did a 2 button reset. I held down the top button and the home button until I get the message to hook the phone up to itunes. I didnt hook up to iTunes. Instead I held down the top button again until the phone shut off. then I just turned it back on again. the phone immediately found my wifi.

I had same the problem, but after I went to settings--> iTunes & App Store--> click apple Id--> select view ID that will ask your password, just enter your password and reconnect your wifi would be enable to use wifi. I think you just need to log in. I hope this will solve your problem.

I had the same issue. I went into the wifi settings and selected the blue arrow to the right of the wifi signal that was causing the issue. Then I selected "forget this network". I then reconnected to that same network and it worked. Hopefully it will work for you.

Switching Airplane Mode on and off a few times cleared up the wifi issue on both iPhone4S and iPad (3rd gen).
