iPhone 3GS and disappearing music?
Don't pity me but I'm still using my old 3GS. Here's the thing, I recently sync'd my phone with iTunes and most of the songs on the phone disappeared. It went from about 160 down to 30 or so. All the songs are still in my iTunes library on my computer but I can't seem to get them back onto the phone. Any ideas?

First I assume you put songs before from another computer (or the same computer but before you formatted it!) and in this case when you try to add new songs to your iPhone through iTunes and ask it to Sync, it will remove your old songs as they are belong to another library.
Are you sure that the songs which are still existed in iTunes are working? I mean are they still playable? which I guess not.
If they are playable, that means they are still existed on your computer, so try to look for them and re-upload them to your iPhone.
Unfortunately you can't do anything to recover those lost songs if they are completely been removed, but in the future be sure to do one or all the following:
1. Use the same computer for each transferring process.
2. From iTunes, click on your iPhone's name > Summary > under "Options", check the box "Manually manage music and videos" so in the future you din't need to sync everytime, and thus you won't lose songs.
Tell me what you think?
