My grandpa just died to melanoma, and now I found out that my dad had a type of skin cancer removed.?

He said it's the kind that doesn't spread, can anyone elaborate on this type of cancer?

There are different types of skin cancer, so you will have to talk to your

dad to find the exact diagnosis, and then you can google from there, or

talk to your dr about what it all means to you.

Generally, sun damage is the greatest risk factor for all skin cancers.

So stay out of the sun, and when it is unavoidable, stay in the shade,

wear protective clothing, and sun screen

All cancers can spread that is what makes them cancer.

He probably had basal cell carcinoma as it rarely spreads.
