Unusual symptoms. Is it just the flu or is it something else?

I woke up this morning feeling a little bit uncomfortable. At first I thought it was just some leftover emotions from a dream I had been having about work( of course work is uncomfortable), but then my stomach started to gradually start hurting. It hurt below my belly button, like when you have diarrhea, and also above it, like when you throw up. I went to the bathroom and was unable to have a bowel movement at first, and the pain just kept getting worse and worse. Finally I had diarrhea and also vomited, even though I hadn't eaten anything since the night before( So i just vomited stomach acid). This pain didn't feel like the flu at all, I could probably say that it was the worse pain I have ever felt. Even before I threw up, my ears were burning up and pulsing and my scalp itched really bad. Usually when I am sick vomiting or having diarrhea will lessen the pain, but with this pain, there was no relief at all. I finally couldn't produce any more vomit or diarrhea and curled up in my bed in the fetal position after checking my temperature (and taking pepto and ibuprofen). My temp read 96.6 even though I felt like I was burning up. I still had no relief from the pain, until I started rubbing my stomach in a circular motion. This gave me about 15 seconds of partial relief every 2 minutes or so. This went on for about an hour until I felt comfortable enough to fall asleep. When I woke up after another hour, I felt much better except my whole abdomen felt tight and compressed, which is how I felt for the rest of the day. I have also not been able to produce a bowel movement since then. My mom says it's just the flu and I don't need to see a doctor, but I thought I'd look for a second opinion.
