Why does my crush get jealous?

If I talk to or stare at or compliment another girl she calls them a whore or something like that (and they never are) and tries to steal my attention or she'll join the convo and make the girl leave. And if I even mention a girl I'm attracted to she gets quiet and tries to change the subject. But I don't get it. She has a boyfriend. And she doesn't do this with any other guy friends just me.

She probably likes you, feels possessive towards you, and/or is jealous. The question is, do you honestly want a girl that openly steals the limelight from other girls, calls them whores, and tries to control the situation around you even if only as just a friend?

You both obviously are close friends. It's either that she really likes you and doesn't want to leave her boyfriend because A) she likes him too......B) or she is really over protective of you and doesn't want you to end up with some skank.
She might just not believe you like her and everyone is afraid of rejection, so just try and talk to her about it. She might confess about liking you or she might have an explanation for why she gets jealous.

She likes you, simple as that. Even if she has a boyfriend, what girl wants to hear about other girls when they are around a guy they are hanging out with? Also, if you like her, compliment her and not other girls.
