How can my vb.net app emulate COM2 to trick old software?

I basically want it to emulate an old modem. Any advice would be cool... thanks

    Are you talking about redirecting network traffic from the WAN so it looks like it's coming in through COM2? I'm not sure that's possible. Plus if the old software has it's own dialing software, it's going to expect to hear a dial tone and those are pretty hard to fake.
