I think the sequence is dividing by -2. Because of that, the next two terms would be 1/2, and then -1/4

if n starts at zero then the formula is s_n = (-1)^n * 2^(3-n)
the (-1)^n will alternate +1, -1 , +1, -1
for n = 4, 1/2 and for n = 5, -1/4

Looks to me like the number decreases by a half each time, and is alternately positve and then negative?
