    We have a giant empire, they don't. They have a humble foreign policy and don't send billions of dollars (looney tunes) overseas

    Their income taxes are higher so their deficit is lower. I think their Parlilament is probably more effective than the American Congress. The deficit has been reduced. When Bush left office in 2008 the projected deficit was $1.2 trillion and that is what it is now.
