96 Ford Explorer w/ 5.0 engine issue..Please read & help?

Nothing won't come on when switch is turned on..No fire anywhere but when I hit the cylinoid it will spin over, hit once like it want to crank but won't...

What are my possible issue to solve the problem?

    You could have a blown "Fusible" link or a tripped breaker. Some models have breaker in the panel in the footwell on the passenger side front behind a removal cover. Check the ignition switch, cable connectors and also check the voltage of the battery too.

    since it won't crank unless starter solenoid is hit? then it cranks but wont start? it will need a replacement starter as this ought to crank when power is supplied. battery cranks it over so no real power issues. we ought to have a diagnostics check run. do check we have fuel? spark?

    timing belt or chain went bad or something in the distributor but then again dont have the full story ..... two working problems ecm not recognizing the key and possible timing chain.......big boat anchor
