Why the outrage NOW over officiating?

As millions of fans know, the Steelers "won" two very controversial Super Bowls because of officiating. There is link after link, video after video online to prove this. In fact, the one official even admitted so (Bill Leavy) that he screwed it up. People talked about that for two days an didnt care. Now all the sudden the world is coming to an end because a regular season game was screwed up? Bill Leavy was not a replacement official either. Regardless, something needs to be done. Officials should not be responsible for chaning the history of the game like they have been doing.

ESPN is forming their opinions. Some people don't know how to think for themselves, so they just jump on the "These officials are terrible and Goodell should be fired" bandwagon without knowing the facts.

Because its replacement refs. Everything they do is scrutinized so much that seeing the way that game ended just made everything worse. I am curious if the normal officials were in, what they would call it. But anway, the refs are humans and have human error. Therefore not all calls will be right. It'll always be that way. But right now every call the replacement refs make is suddenly a big deal. I do honestly think if it were the normal refs, last night wouldn't be as big of a deal. I'd still be ticked, but things wouldn't be like they are now.

These guys shouldn't be on the field... I compiled a Top Ten list of tweets that I read following last night's game regarding the replacement refs for my blog today at http://bikinihill.blogspot.com/ if you're interested in checking it out. Enjoy the list!

I can't recall an actual last play of a Super Bowl game in which a bad call directly cost a team the win.

Well it's not every day that official refs screw up Super Bowls. It is every day that these back-up refs are drawing in mixed opinions from all over.

    its freagen espn/ sports center.

they are blowing this story way out of proportion. This isnt even a playoff game. and their was plenty of bad calls in that game (one in particular which wouldve forced GB to punt and not get at touchdown)

also plenty of bad calls to give Baltimore free first downs against NE)
