Can you walk across the USA/Mexico border to and from Presidio, Texas?

I will be renting a car and cannot take it into Mexico. I will be coming from Big Bend National Park and stopping in Presidio, Texas. Can you just walk across the border to and from Mexico at that port of entry?

ok thanks but i dont need safety tips. I have been to mexican border cities before and know the risk. Question is at this specific small port of entry in Presidio, TX can a pedestrian cross like they could at other bigger POE'S like Tijuana or Juarez

    Yes, you can walk across the border. But would you have a safe trip?
