Anybody know when certain books of the bible were written?
So I got an essay that I've written but my teacher wants me to try adding dates to help with the religious historical reference so does anybody know when the book of Matthews was written and also the lost books of Eden or Islamic mythology? I discuss both for the paragraphs on Lilith so either of them will do. Please be nice, my teacher had been teaching us it's okay to be interdependent but many teenagers are too independent nowadays so I'm trying to learn to rely on others some by getting small amounts of help (in other words our teacher is forcing us to and calling it a project).

According to the Urantia Book, The Book of Matthew (as it appears in the Bible) was written in 71 ADE by Isador, a disciple of Matthew's.
Excerpts:
121:8.5 The Apostle Matthew did not write this Gospel. It was written by Isador, one of his disciples, who had as a help in his work not only Matthew's personal remembrance of these events but also a certain record which the latter had made of the sayings of Jesus directly after the crucifixion. This record by Matthew was written in Aramaic; Isador wrote in Greek. There was no intent to deceive in accrediting the production to Matthew. It was the custom in those days for pupils thus to honor their teachers.
121:8.6 Matthew's original record was edited and added to in 40 ADE just before he left Jerusalem to engage in evangelistic preaching. It was a private record, the last copy having been destroyed in the burning of a Syrian monastery in 416 ADE.
121:8.7 Isador escaped from Jerusalem in 70 ADE after the investment of the city by the armies of Titus, taking with him to Pella a copy of Matthew's notes. In the year 71, while living at Pella, Isador wrote the Gospel according to Matthew. He also had with him the first four fifths of Mark's narrative.

Genesis (biblical version possibly written in 538 BC) is similar to the Sumerian Creation Tablet, which dates to the 17th century BC. It's interesting to note that none of the creation myths collected from various (available) worldwide sources say anything about man "evolving." They all pretty much attribute man's creation to a God, who came from the sky.
One of the most interesting figures in Genesis is Enoch (Noah's grandfather). Everyone else died and rested with their ancestors (as in a family crypt/tomb), but not Enoch... Enoch simply wasn't. The ethiopic Book of Enoch is equally interesting as it could only be describing a black hole; something that wasn't even theorized until the 20th century! Strange, n'est pas?
Also, on the 17th century BC, read about "Gobekli Tepe," located in modern Turkey, excavated in 1994. It's 7,000 years older than Stone Henge and dates to around the same time as the Sumerian Creation Tablet.
The Book of Daniel - The Maccabean War 167-164 BC (Antiochus)
Note: I think the above answer 41 "C.E." means AD, not CE... All of the New Testament should be dated AD Anno Domini-Latin meaning "after Christ".
Good luck with your assignment.

Objective scholars ( as opposed to biblical scholars with an agenda) date Matthews as being written between 55 and 70 A.D.
