How should I dress. I'm working in an office environment, 19 and have never really had much clothes (lol)?

Good Day everyone,

Basically I'm 19 and worked throughout High School so there was never really a need to buy clothes. So Monday to Friday I was in my school uniform, then Friday afternoon to Sunday night I wore my work uniform. I was blessed enough to get a Learnership and am now working in an office environment and I don't know what to wear! I usually throw on leggings and a dress but I want to look professional and be taken seriously because my contract ends soon and I'm hoping to get a job in a corporate environment.

I need help on how to:

Dress appropriately

Look my age

Still have a bit of funk

I love colour and dresses :) I'm not a huge fan of jeans perhaps if I could find interesting ways to wear them maybe this could change.

Thanks in Advance <3

I would wear black pants with pantyhose underneath if you are wearing ballet flat style shoes. Socks would work if wearing black, fully closed in shoes. If you want to wear a skirt or dress make sure it is modest but something you are comfortable in. I would wear stockings/pantyhose underneath the skirts and dresses as too much flesh may be taken the wrong way. I WOULDN'T wear overly revealing shirts or skirts as it can make you look unprofessional. I would choose a cap sleeve style top and a nice jacket. If you want to wear a shirt with straps I would wear a cardigan over the top. Bulky bracelets, big, chandelier style earrings, layered necklaces not only look nice but it is really age appropriate and if you find some that are really unique it adds to the look. If you want to try a basic black underneath (shoes, bottoms, shirts, dresses) you can have bright accessories (hats, bracelets, earrings, scarves, necklaces etc) and it (black) really brings out the colour in them. Make up wise I'd go either lips or eyes. So bright lips and neutral eyes or bright/smoky eyes and neutral lips.

I've only ever done work experience and that's what I've picked up. Hope it helps and good luck!
