Why are paperweights so heavy?

I have a baseball paperweight and when my parents gave it to me and when I held it. It was really heavy

    1. Because they are made from heavy materials.

    2. So they can be placed on top of sheets of paper to prevent the sheets of paper from blowing away. Didn't the words "paper" and "weight" give you any sort of a clue?

    Paperweight. It has weight in it. It wouldn't hold down paper if it wasn't heavy.

    Paperweigh= to hold down paper If a wind is blowing or to keep it from being misplaced. Or so you can ask why it is heavy

    They are heavy so that if a big gust of wind blows, the paper will stay weighed down.

    They are "Paper" "Weights" They are heavy because they need to way papers down so they don't move around.
