Can you lie and say your a registered sex offender to keep neighbours away?

I have just moved in a new house can I go to all my neighbours saying I'm required by law to say I'm a registered sex offender so they won't trouble me with welcoming stuff and trying to get to know me and too keep their kids away from my property or is that against some law

    Yeah you could do, but if they're anything like me they will register their boot to your face.

    that is a dumb idea.

    you would be better off hanging a sign in your yard that says something crazy like i eat cats or something or i am a witch. that will keep the neighbors and kids away. lol

    you can say whatever you want, but youll have to deal with the consequences when you are 'caught' doing something youre 'not suppose to be doing'...

    Sure, you could do that. Nothing illegal about it, but it's not really the best idea.
