You have to finish the next quest " Glory of the Dead" before any of the companions become marriage material. Glory of the Dead is available after completing Purity of Revenge, I dont want to spoil any of the quest story so id recommend visiting the skyforge to find all of the companions it is here you will recieve this final quest involving returning to Ysgramor and holding onto a witches head, defeating wolf spirits. Hopefully by then you should be able to find Farkas in the Companions living quarters, trying waiting next to his bed until night time, he should show up.

Farkas is known to be EXTREMELY glitchy. There is a possibility that he is still in Ysgramor's Tomb. Try doing a couple of companion quests/"I'm looking for work..." stuff, and if he hasnt returned by then, maybe go look for him in the tomb.

You can marry him, but only after you find him. I'm pretty sure you have to had cured Vilkas first in order to be able to cure Farkas.

If I've confused you any, try this: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Purity

I used it to help me fix Farkas in my game as well. Good luck in finding him!
