What kind of motorcycle is this?
Somebody I know bought it a couple months ago and is selling it now. They just know its a 2012 Honda 250CC engine and has 300 miles. Anyone know what it is?
All the decals/symbols from when it was bought have been removed. All those decals were added for a race/rally

That "somebody" bought a piece of *Cheap Chinese Crap* and is trying to sell it -- by lying about the bike. Are you going to believe us, who can easily see he is lying? Or do you want to waste your money?

That's no HONDA I know of
There is no HONDA on the tank for a start
There is no FLYING WING emblem for a second
and since when has HONDA been spelt " ROMA"
EDIT ADDITION
it is a JINLUN HORNET 125
Made in china, auto twist and go scooter derived, based on the Gilera DNA,
Not even related to a HONDA of any type
Except Gilera did fit a honda 4 stroke scooter engine into their bikes at the start of their manufacture
Edit addition 2
who are you not trying to impress?
CBR 250 has mono shock NOT twin shock ( same with the CBR 125)
CBR 250 has a swing arm as does the 125 NOT a Transaxle/ transmission like this bike
CBR 250 has 17 wheels ( as does the 125) that front wheel is 16 inches or less...
IT AINT a HONDA
Edit 3
You can see the exhuast is attached to a horizontal single cyl engine between the foot pegs
Not running to the front into the fairing as it would do on a conventional bike
This agian goes to show it has a scooter engine.
Again It ain't a Honda

This late model bike would have the modern 17 character VIN. This VIN would be located on the frame on the goose neck that connects the forks to the frame.
Enter this 17 character VIN into one of the many VIN decoders that you will find on the Internet.
If this bike has the VIN removed from the frame, consider the bike stolen property. Distance yourself from this friend so that you do not get caught up in this mess. If you are with him when the police catch him, you may be considered an accomplice. Or charged with aiding and abetting.

Looks like a Chinese built bike. If it is, it's not a real Honda motor. Chinese have copied Honda and Yamaha motors for use in their own machines. This is probably a CN250 cloned engine in a frame built in China. Resale values are very low on Chinese built bikes.

As Phillip pointed out, it says Roma on the tank so I'm guessing it's made by Moto Roma.
