What is the ideal temperature for a graphics card?

Hi, I have the ASUS HD 6570 1gb. And I have the Asus Smart Doctor installed.

While playing games like cs:s, tf2, gmod13, cod4, hl2, almost everything maxed out at 1600x900 I get temperatures around 40-48°C...

Is that good? If so can I reach temperatures around 50 or 60 without worrying about it?

Thx

30s to 40s are the ideal temperatures. Too cold makes it sluggish, but too hot also causes problems. Running around 40-48 at maxed out settings implies either really, really good cooling or your card is not trying hard enough (then again, you're playing some pretty old games there). Going up to 50 and 60 degrees is fine under load; you just don't want to be getting that hot when idle. Anything up to 80 degrees is fine, and most cards can handle as high as 100 degrees safely.

Your GPU can reach about 80C above that youre going to fry it, yes you are good.

If you overclock it then you would need water cooling for your GPU.

No need to worry about your Video card.

Yes you can. It can even get up to 70°C without any worries. 60°C is perfect.
