Should I tell my possible future roommate that I'm gay?
I might be getting a house with a former high school friend, We're sophomores in college now. He isn't allowed to live with girls so he can't live with his mixed friend group. The reason I ask this question is because I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable in any sort of way. This is not a question of whether or not he accepts gays, I just don't want to cause any discomfort. I'm closeted and have only told a select few people that I have homosexual tendencies.

hi, this is your decision, like you say you havent come out fully yet but then on the other hand if you share with him, wont you maybe want to bring a guy back at some stage and if he found out this way he would be shocked although to be honest he may have an inkling you are gay and doesnt care. Have you asked him what he thinks about gay people? I loads of gay friends and if the room was full of straight folk i could pick you out the only one that was gay. Its an instinct and i have a feeling this friend deep down has an idea your gay. I would hate to have to hide my sexuality for others sake. Its up to you but if you dont tell him, can you hide it enough for a long time?

Yea eventually you will have to end up telling him. He is bound to find out anyways. That way you can try to talk it out so thing wont seem awkward or so he wont feel anyway uncomfortable around you
