Does ignorance make us inquisitive...?

ignorance would bask in the sun without a care, time and knowledge - what could be more blissful...

Ignorance, by it's very definition, is the anathema of the Search for Knowledge. Ignorance is a function of complacency. Ignorant people do not care about what they do not know, or understand. They are content with their current world view, and see little need for learning anything new, unless the situation changes. Then, they will do the bare minimum needed to function in the new environment.

That is the difference between Ignorance, and Curiosity. A curious person realizes that their knowledge is limited, and have a desire to overcome those limits, and explore new territories. It is what fuels discoveries, and the Search for Knowledge.

And yes, Knowledge itself can make us inquisitive, because as often as not, new answers invariably lead to more new questions...... It is an animal that feeds itself.....

Ignorance takes us back to the level of animals, with little interest in anything that is not of direct and immediate benefit to themselves.

The Search for Knowledge is one of humanity's noblest pursuits, and is a defining characteristic of what it means to be human......

I'd say ignorance makes a person inquisitive only when they run up against a problem and need a solution. Otherwise most are comfortable in their ignorance. After all, who can possibly know everything there is to know?

Curiosity is the instigator of inquisitiveness. My opinion only.

Our ignorance on things are fulfilled by knowledge ----- through that desire to find out? But then, NOT ALL knowledge are worth acting on. Wisdom allows us to sort the necessary from the rubbish. Ignorance is sort of keeping off from certain kinds of knowledge one is 'already familiar' of in the first place ---- without knowing it? :D

By being ignorant yoy don't realize what you don't know so i think you have to allready have to be inquizative to want to keep learning & know things
