Not even a week since the Grand Final, and there are no signs of the winners on the AFL website?

I mean, it's been building up all year long, and only 5 days after the biggest game of the season has finished, the AFL's main website (www.afl.com.au) has next to nothing in regards to the Grand Final, and the winners. Do you think, that if it were Hawthorn who had won it (A Victorian team), that we would NOT be hearing the end of it? I've gotta say, isn't it nice living in a world with no arrogant footy supporters?

    Quite shocking really.

I guess the first answer has some sort of a point though - With the timing of the grand final maybe it was a little bit more difficult to go on about it - with the NRL grandfinal and now trade week. But absolutely support your view 100% it's quite sad really that hardly any attention has been paid to Sydney - the media just want to jump on the articles that will attract people and at the moment that seems to be all about the players.

I do think, however, in Sydney they would be living it up. The celebrations in Melbourne for Sydney have been some what similar to how Sydney played their season - under the radar.

The main thing at the end of the day is that they won the premiership; the players would be stoked with that and can't ask for too much more.

Source(s): But a bit more recognition would not go astray.

Hey B.H. great to see you again. great question.

I can remember when the Bris Lions won the first of what turned out to be of 3 on the trot up here in Brisbane. but do ya think that the locals cared?

It just seems that when the premiership cup is won by a team where Aussie rules is grass roots. the city's can't get enough of it. but when it goes into NRL heartland. well you know what happens.

I'm just so glad that thousands turned out for the Swans ticket tape parade in Sydney today. maybe these supporters are a little more conservative than your average biast supporters that you speak of.

    cheers.

victoria are very disappointed. If it was hawthorn who had won we would never hear the end of it.

I am and eagles supporter and I am so proud of sydney. when they play as a team it is amazing!.

Hawks have more talent but it is is more individual and I don't think they really know how to play as a team yet.

The draft/trade/preseason is totally overhyped. I can't believe all the promos and pointless articles they have regarding "the road to 2013.

I agree totally Brutal, thanks for mentioning it.
