i am bringing home my knife set and i will keep it in my luggage. wont airport security hold me for it?

I am a chef by profession and i wouldn't want to leave my knives behind. so if i put them in my luggage in a knife wallet, would that be safe or would they be confiscated?

Knives are fine in your checked baggage. It's only the carry-on bags where they have an issue. The TSA might open your checked bag to see what's inside since there's so much metal, but they won't confiscate your knives. They don't pose a risk inside a checked bag.

Its always advisable to carry your work tools with you when traveling. So long as they are kept safe and with no intention of doing any harm, there is no cause of panic. I am a mechanic too and I always carry my spanners with me but they are always locked unless I have work to do. At the air port they don't ask if your tools are in a locked baggage bag. So carry your knifes and let them be in the luggage bag. At the same time you don't know whether thieves could come in your hotel room when you are asleep and you can use your knives to defend yourself. Its good you asked before you carried the knives otherwise they would suspect you if you carried them in your carry on bag. Wish you a nice stay in your stay in the foreign land.

nicely, h3ll, you may carry weapons, swords, skill equipment, arrows and all forms of risky issues in checked in bags. there'll be no concern in any respect with a pocket knife in checked bags.
