    I think that the professor was totally right.

    Being vegan is an option and eating meat is also an option.

    And if everyone could respect her choice, she should respect their choices too.

    Due to my religion (Eastern Orthodox Christian) I don't eat meat, not animal products on certain days, and this is practice for good number of people here.

    However, when we are having lunch/celebration/dinner at our place and is on a day like this, we make both menus - with and without meat.

    I think I probably would never did what professor did, but I wish I have more guts to do it.

    I would probably just accept the situation.

    But, he did the right thing, no one should be pushed to do what they don't like, and it is totally unfair to make people feel less worthy because they eat meat.

    So, hats off to the professor.

  • The professor is correct. If every other student has been forced to make vegan options for her, it is only right that she has to reciprocate and make meet options for everyone else. Just because she is vegan, does not make her special. What is fair is fair.
