    Metal is a pretty broad term. Usually people think of hard rock, with heavy blaring drums and guitars, but softer stuff can be considered metal as well (for example Blue Oyster Cult is considered as metal, but it's not that hard).

    I like old metal, but I love the new genres that came about. :)
