Who would win in a fight no weapons average-sized average-muscled adult male human, or an omega male gray wolf?

Wolves are NOT at all how they are portrayed in movies & the media. I have a friend who works with wolves at a sanctuary, they usually don't want anything to do with humans, and they're afraid of us. If you leave them alone, they'll leave you alone.

BUT if for some reason a human was trapped in a small space with a wolf, meaning that the wolf had no way to escape or run away, and it was a fight to the death, the wolf would probaby win because of how powerful their bite force is.

Same thing would happen if it were a fight between a powerful dog and a human.

EDIT - I read the question as ALPHA male grey wolf. In that case, the wolf would probably win. But since you asked about the omega wolf, the human would most likely win.

Most likely the human would. Grey wolves are very skiddish around humans and would most likely run away anyway. and as the Omega of a pack if the scapegoat and punching bag of the pack it would probably not even bother trying to attack unless cornered and would then only attack enough to get away from the human.

There'd be no "fight"...wild animals FLEE noisy reeking dangerous humans.
