Look through thrift stores for ideas and then accessorize. Find a flowered skirt and then sew or hot glue plastic or silk flowers (any 99 cent store has them) and be a garden. Draw flowers on your face. Or do something similar with fall colored fake leaves and wear them in your hair - be mother earth. Clip toy snakes in your hair and put green makeup all over your face to be Medusa. Or get a black dress and just wear dark makeup and black lace over your eyes to be a gothic bride. You can look through 99 cent stores for ideas too. You can always just get a pretty masquerade mask and wear with your own clothing - then say you're just going to the ball.
