Which coach is the most under achievingest (wtf is that a word?)? I have four nominees?

B ob Stoops: consistently has talented teams that are inept on their best day at defense and get blown out by garbage programs like Boise State.

Mark Richt - recruiting from the deepest and most fertile talent pool in the country but hasn't won a big game against a quality opponent since Moses was a toddler.

Jimbo Fisher - always brings in a top 10 class of recruits and dilligently develops them into a team good enough to get humiliated by NC State on national television.

Charlie Weiss - he as as "schematic advantage" over every team in the history of all team sports. If we listent to the fattest coach since Planet Mangino we would think that he was a quality coach. If we watch his teams we come to understand that they are nearly as fat, stupid, and slow as he is.

I will accept other nominees.

My vote goes to Richt.

Bob Stoops. The B(C)$ has handed him several accomplishments, (getting into the 2008 title game when Texas deserved it, winning a Big 12 title game they shouldn't have been in, etc.), and worse than that, he's lost three straight title games. Including that drubbing by USC.

I totally agree with 15 cent's answer. Bob Stoops has to be the only answer. I really believe that it is time for Oklahoma to fire Stoops. No one has wasted more talent than Stoops.

Although firing Bob Stoops will hurt Oklahoma in the short term, I believe it would benefit the program in the long run. Let's face it, Oklahoma is not going to get any better in the future, by keeping Stoops as its head coach.

I will admit that if Oklahoma keeps Stoops as head coach (and continues to recruit top level talent) for the next 7-10 years, the program will have about 3-5 10-win season, maybe 2-3 Conference Titles. However, Oklahoma will never again be a legitimate contender for another National Championship because Stoops will find a way to underperform with this talent.

Source(s): I do not even want to imagine what would happen to Oklahoma if Bob Stoops suddenly stops getting top level talent.
