How do you write subscripts and superscripts on this site?
I tried using the <sub> and <sup> tags but it didn't work.
x<sup>2</sup> was what I tried.

Except to the extent they are provided by the Microsoft character set or accessible via Unicode(s), this engine does not support super- or sub-scripting. You can use the caret (^)convention to indicate superscripts as in x^n
X ³, X ² these superscripts are available from the Microsoft character set
