My dog is acting strange?

My dog was outside and when he came in he was crying and shaking and breathing really heavy and kept opening his mout like something was in there. That went on for about twenty min then he seemed fine. Then an hour latet he started shaking again and breathing hard. Now hes hiding under the kitchen table and wont come out. Dont know if he got into something or something bit him. Hes not throwing up or anything like that. What could be wrong?

Go and have a look around your back garden to see if there is anything out there that he could of eaten, if there is anything out there that he could have got hold of then put it into a container and take it to the vets with your dog as they will need to know as much info as possible. Also try and check his mouth to see if anything is stuck in there or if there is any cuts in his mouth as long as he lets you do it. but if you are really worried ring the vets first and ask them for advice, Good luck and I hope he feels better soon.

I would take him to an emergency vet tonight if it were my dog.
Shaking is a sign of pain and/or fear.  Breathing hard is worrisome.  Hiding happens with pain and fear.

Check his mouth and airway.  Is there a stick or something stuck in there?  Is his face swelling up?  
Better yet, use your energy to find the phone number of the nearest nighttime vet and call it.  this could be life-threatening.  Seriously.

A redtailed hawk or great horned owl must of tried to attack it?

Maybe your outside yard is haunted. My cuzins house was haunted and then when they got a dog, the ghost went and lived outside.

I agree that you should take him to the vet. He probably ate something and is sick from it and is also scared of you punishing him.
