Question about dressage test! What is best?

So I last minute decided to enter a combined test next week and I have a question on my dressage test. I would ask my trainer her opinion but she's out of town until the event!

We are doing USEF 2010 beginner novice test a.

At the beginning of the test it calls for an enter at A to XMC. So it's a diagonal line. I've never ridden a test like this, so I'm unsure if I should change my diagonal or not. I typically like to start tests tracking left, so would I change my diagonal and then change it back? Or just leave it? Or start my test tracking right?

Opinions??

Update:

Thanks, but that still doesn't answer my question about changing my diagonal...

I would start with my right diagonal (the right as the outside, sit while the right foreleg is on the ground)

This way you won't need to change it and your test will look much neater

This is an unusual start, we don't have beginner tests that look like this in Australia :-)

I would just start and stay on the left. Since A - X and X - M are both straight lines and not tracking one way or the other, your diagonal on those should not matter. When riding this test, make sure your entry is really two straight line segments with a clear turn in between, not a big curve or something resembling a question mark.

I continuously make a "dressage section" in my room and positioned up the letters. Then i'm going to start by making use of doing basically the 1st 2-3 strikes and do them till I even have them down, then shop on including a million or 2 strikes and ranging from the commencing up till you have long gone interior the path of the full element. :) wish this helps and stable success!

Here it is diagrammed out. Scroll down toward the bottom.

Since you are tracking left, post for that diagonal. The overall movement is a left direction since it is past 'X'
