CD-R is a single write disk

Depending on Windows Explorer Burning choices.

Live File System format, or Mastered,

People think that when they read that they can add files to the disk like a flash drive , they think they can keep erasing and adding.( if it is RW <rewriteable>you can)

    With CD-R, that isn't true.

Normally when you burn a disk , the disk needs to be closed out before the drive will read it.

Even if you only put 50MB on a 700MB disk, once the disk is closed you can't add to it.

This way you can add as many times as you want ( BUT ONLY TO THE DISKS CAPACITY)

So if you burn 500MB's of a 700MB , with Live File System , you can still add 200MB.

If you erase the 500 , you can still only add 200.because the unburned Medium is still there

You can only format it if its a cd-rw so if its just a cd-r then toss it
