It can snow in March and be rainy. It can also be very hot in May or June.

You can get gorgeous Spring weather at both times, but if it were me, I would pick March or May and skip June. June is too hot with too many tourists. Also, Easter week is very crowded in New York. Stay away from the week before and after Easter if you can.

You should repost your question on where to say based on your budget ($200 - $500 a night for hotel in Manhattan including all taxes). $200 a night will get your a so-so hotel in the tourist area, $500 something much nicer. Also do you want to stay in an area convenient to tourist attractions such as Times Square? Would you be willing to stay in an area a bit further away from the center for a good deal? Do you mind small rooms in older hotels? Do you want a chic modern hotel, one that is low cost, or a grand old hotel that has interesting details? These are good questions to answer.

Saying that, check out this article on 5 hidden gem hotels at a good price in Manhattan.

Well, my friend, its up to you. If you're looking for a bargain on hotel and airfare, the March is the best time to go, as hotel and airfare are cheaper.

However, if you're looking for cool to warm weather, then I would shot for the May/June time period. In particular the later part of May and earlier part of June.

    Good luck
