My Friend Says I'm 'Modest'. WHAT DOES SHE MEAN?

Okay, now before I even start, this is NOT an arrogant question. I honestly don't get it.

We were talking about why this guy liked me. I didn't get it. I even texted her:
"Why WOULD he?

Pretty? Lotsa girls prettier than me :) being honest not self pitying.
Smart? Who you comparing me to?
Unique? So is everyone else.

Soooo why me?"

We bantered back and forth, her trying to convince me I'm super special. Then she finally said, "Ha, thanks but um no.
I'm not pretty, I'm averagely smart, I'm not unique at all. 
He's a guy
He sees the you I SEE
The awesome one
You're just too modest to see it!"
And then when I asked what she meant...
"You are too kind to others but you dont see yourself as who you are. You ARE really smart and pretty and nice and he sees that as do I, but you will never truly believe it."

I don't know what she means at all. My other friend even agreed with her, and they both did crappy jobs of explaining.

If you know what the word modest means then you would know what she meant. Your answer is basically in your little description there. I personally think that you love hearing all this stuff about you that's why you're refusing to understand the point here.

Ok maybe this is not the answer your expecting but it means:
THAT YOU'RE BEING REALLY MODEST and that may be annoying (you being very very modest)

modest means your not full of yourself... Of which you're obviously not.
