Because they're idiots that's why. I read your question wrong ha ha I thought you meant that NZ WAS a part of Australia. I got confused at how you could think that being a Kiwi, don't worry I read it with the right inflection the second time lol. Don't worry too much you know what's right (and so do I, ie NZ is a totally different country than Australia though are close geographically) but some people know nothing about what's outside their own backyard. Apparently many (not all) Northern Hemispherers (that's not really a word but you get the idea) think the capital of Australia is Sydney and that we all speak tribal Aboriginal languages and have tribal elders (you only do if you are Aboriginal and growing up in more traditional Aboriginal ways) ie I am a European descended Australian I do not have an Aboriginal elder and do not speak an Aborignal language - because I am not Aboriginal - and the capital city is Canberra.
Sorry about the rambling lol - just saying I get it when people make uneducated (to the point of being plain ignorant/stupid) about your country can be like. Oh and just a question is it true all you Kiwis hate Aussies? I hope not, I like you guys it'd be a shame if you didn't like us....
BQ: It was okay. I joined the gym today, tried homemade soft serve ice cream made purely out of bananas, blueberries and raspberries (it's from a special machine, not really ice cream but I don't know what else to call it). It doesn't seem like much but I feel like it was somewhat of a productive day...
BQ2: Just English but I want to eventually do a diploma or other form of course in another language - I just keep changing my mind about what language - German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish or Russian tend to be going around my head. What do you think?
BQ3: If going to my room down the hall to get something then forgetting why I've gone counts as forgetful then yes.

BQ3: Yes!

They don't care, I know its not. Are you from Australia? Do you like it there and are there giant bugs sometimes?
BQ it was good, I had no school, so that was nice :)
BQ2 I speak fluent English, Hebrew, and Im learning German
BQ3 not really, I just kind of avoid things subconsciously, like if I'm supposed to do homework, I randomly have to eat, and find out if my dogs are alive

Because they're close to each other, I assume.
BQ: Okay.
BQ2: Well, obviously, since I'm typing this.
I speak English (fluent) and Spanish (basic/conversational).
BQ3: Yes, but I write everything down.

You are right. Most geographers say that NZ and Australia are not part of the same continent. Australia, of course, belongs to Australia (commonly referred to as Oceania), and NZ doesn't belong to any continent.
BQ: OK
BQ2: English fluently, and messed up Tagalog.
BQ3: I'm not. Usually.

I don't.
BQ: It was great!
BQ2: Nope, just English.
BQ3: Sometimes, but not usually.
