Did I make a good decision on buying this laptop?

I think you made a pretty good deal; considering what you have to do with it, the laptop you got sounds like more than enough; the processor isn't a big one, yet it will be enough for you. As for HP, it is a good computer company even though, personally, I prefer Dell. All in all, as I said, you made a good deal and with such a laptop you'll be able to enjoy your music and iTunes library without problems.

Hey that looks like a great laptop for all the stuff you listed above. However, it's only a dual core at 1.4ghz. And it's AMD. So the speed isn't going to be blistering (to put this into perspective, I have an intel core2 duo at 2.00ghz. And it's really slow. So just be careful on what you download and make sure to check for viruses. If you plan on 3D games, don't. But evrything elce should run fine for the price point

Not a high end laptop but will do the job when needed all the specs look like it will be fast due to RAM size but the processor lacks power and speed but windows 7 64 bit is good but if its not good enough upgrade some parts at shop or at home :)

Well, basing off what you want to do with a laptop, this laptop should be fine for most of your tasks. But don't expect the laptop to be super fast though. That's all I can say.

Also, the graphics card is not old (since someone said it was), it came out this year.

So yeah, it should be fine with the basic stuff (which seems to be what you're mainly doing). But for some extreme productivity, this laptop is a no go.

Get the only with the dedicateddiscrete pics card. 4 Gb of Ram is more effective than adequate, yet for gaming and video modifying you're gonna pick a reliable gpu, and the Intel integrated one only would not decrease it. The Ati card *destroys* the Intel card. The Ati has a score of 6327 (3-D Mark 06) vs the Intel's 761.

That machine will be fine to surf the web, play music and watch films.

It's not the best, but its a machine that'll last you for a few years.

There really isn't much in terms of storage, the graphics card is old, the processor is really slow, even compared to other mobile processors. Not a good choice, I'm afraid. In future, please try to learn about computers so these mistakes aren't made again

for the price you paid your deal is okay but it isn't one of the faster ones with a speed of 1.4GHz. the ram is good. an amd board can be noisy and at this speed slower than an Intel laptop so hopefully you will be happy with your purchase.
