Late 1950s/early 1960s for me. My favourites were, and still are (I have a huge collection now) Britains & similar toy soldiers, cowboys/indians, knights, farm, zoo, etc., in plastic, plus as many of the old lead ones I could find in the few old fashioned toy shops that had a few left.
@ suedeeni....
The Britains band were Scots Guards, and part of their 'Eyes Right' series of ceremonial soldiers, which had moving heads and arms, but not changable bodies & legs like their 'Swoppets' range. Their Swoppets 'Wars of the Roses' knights set go for silly money on eBay, especially if in rare colours.
As for the Marx Disney figures, I think you'll like this website:
Should be a real trip down memory lane for you. Enjoy.
I've added you to my contacts list in case you would like to be reminded of your old Britains stuff. I could scan & send photos of relevent parts of my collection, including a still in its original box Scots Guards 'Eyes Right' band!
