This will mean all the money you have is worthless. No retirement for you or
money for you to travel anywhere.

Why is train travel "essential to civilization?" That statement is absurd.
I can see that Amtrak is your personal "sacred cow". I can also see that you are looking for ways to paint a politician with whom you disagree as a heartless monster. But it isn't working.
We are running a trillion dollar budget deficit. The only responsible action is to evaluate ALL of our government expenditures with an eye to what gives taxpayers a good value and what does not. If Amtrak is a good value, we could continue to fund it. If, as I suspect, we are spending much more money on it than it returns in revenue, then we should consider privatizing it.

A Republican Congress might. they decide to cut back tax expenses, tremendously on enterprise and investments. they could't do this except they scale down expenditures. He won't cut back militia contractors because of the fact they're a factor of the Republican base. So Amtrak and enormous chicken ought to bypass.

"Train travel is essential to civilization" - One of the more absurd things I have ever read. Passenger trains are a money pit with near zero return. Freight trains are an infinitely more economic use of thracks in the US and boy do we use them. The US uses freight trains more than just about any other country on the planet.
