How well do you treat in ln laws?

We are courteous and happy to see each other - usually in smallish doses.

But when Dad-in-law had a stroke, the Mum-In-Law came to live with us and our 4 children. We were closer to the hospital which was over an hour and a half from their place and Mum didn't drive. It wasn't always easy, it was crowded and finding time to make those hospital trips meannt everyone had to make adjustments.

They went home again when Dad-I-L recovered.

Just a few months later Mum-in-Law broke her hip and DIL came to stay with us, until she could go home. MIL said she was sorry for putting us out again, and I said "It's just what families do". And to both Hubby and I it was.

I hit the jackpot with my in-laws. They are wonderful. I am close with both my FIL and MIL. My SIL and I are really good friends and enjoy hours of conversation over a glass of wine here and there. I would say we all treat each other very well and get along.

i have one daughter in law only and would like 2 give away.. when it comes 2 family her lies divided us right down the middle.. if she doesn't believe in karma, she should because someday it will come back and bite her .. i'm a believer in karma n hate liars with a purple passion.. it's not the person i hate but what they have done.. i also have one last sister that will tell the truth if she has 2 lie 2 do it, so i've been blessed.. she's also a thief.. bummer eh ~

I only like them because they are my husbands family and I love my husband.

I don't talk to or see my father in law at all ever. I only see my mother in law at some family functions. My husband goes to see his family on occasion but I do not go. Reasons, my FIL is a filthy perverted gay and my MIL is a horder with lots of issues. I choose not to be around people who make me unhappy. I encourage him to see his fam and I would never keep him from them and never have.

I treat my father in law like my own father. We're very close. I was also very close with my mother in law before she suddenly died.
