sustainable development commission?

The s.d. development commission has ceased to exist , March 2011 and s.d. will be " mainstreamed " into government , does that mean the future is for expansion of sustainable development or will it become just a shadow of its former self , inside Defra .

Not a political animal , so any help appreciated , no links please as they pour out pages of waffle . please

The development commission failed to develop, and was thereto, and heretofore put out of commission by a board of impeached local commissioners who had absolutely nothing to do with unsustainabe development in the first place. So, they voted to re-develope the development. It all kinda sounds backward but its not.
