Romney's still not answering the question?

He was asked what he would do for the long-term unemployed who need help now and just talked about the current unemployment rate, no details about what he would do. WHY?

Update:

@Rich B - 1) the question was about Romney.

2) Obama gave several clear points on how he would create new jobs in manufacturing and other sectors to help new graduates find jobs.

    I think that the answer is that Romney DOES answer the question, every time he speaks - but you just don't believe it and the question is always framed in such a way as to deny the theory.

    1. Every time that the capital gains tax has been cut in the last two decades - that's twice during the Clinton administration and once during the Bush administration, the result has been increased economic activity which results in increased revenue for the government and expansion of the economy in the private sector. This means jobs.

    2. Romney said unequivocally that based on the analysis of economists and the stated objections of small business owners across the country that Obamacare has slowed hiring. When a business is told that if they have 50 or more employees they have to buy health insurance or pay a fine, their option is to keep their employee rolls at 49. Repealing Obamacare and replacing it with free-market options means jobs.

    3. Romney, in discussing our energy policy showed specifically how the Obama administration has cut oil leases and blocked the Keystone pipeline, drilling in the Bakken Reserve, the offshore leases that Bush sold, and along the ANWR peninsula in Alaska - all of which have resulted in fewer jobs and less economic opportunity and activity. Opening these leases and pursuing a more aggressive energy research, development, discovery, extraction, refining and sale both domestically and internationally means jobs.

    4. John F. Kennedy showed, both in theory and in practice, how cutting tax rates ACROSS THE BOARD results in greater economic activity. No one criticized Kennedy - even though he was far wealthier than Romney, for his "tax cuts for the rich". Kennedy passed sweeping tax cut legislation in 1963 and it was implemented in 1964 after his death; the result was a strong economic rebound, reduced unemployment, less dependence on the government and more revenue for the government.

    5. Romney, just like Steve Jobs, is very critical of the over-regulation and high taxation of American business. he said in the debate that the policies of the Obama administration are crippling American business and driving them overseas. Rather than punish them for doing so and costing them even MORE money, Romney wants to implement some deregulation (I said "some", not "entire") and lower corporate taxes and other incentives to bring American business back to the US. Romney has been in the private sector for decades - he has run businesses domestically and he has outsourced - I think he is a pretty good barometer of what does and does not work for American business.

    Listen, we can count on Obama to do the SAME as he has done for last four years, next to nothing, because the fact is things are really bad, we are out of jobs still while the population has increased dramatically due to Obama letting in tons of immigrants. Everything Obama has done is opposite of what would prosper Americans. Financial news keeps stating that every president has brought a true recovery in "two years", not any longer.

    Obama said that the private sector (jobs) were doing fine, he is so out of touch with "jobs", we have had many public sector jobs lost too. 90% of all jobs lost in Obama administration are 'women's jobs' both in public and private sectors directly due to Obama policies. Make no mistake that Romney is an economic wizard with a PROVEN track record of many years. Obama does not like economics nor businesses nor jobs, that is not what he's good at nor where his interests are, he has made things much worse.

    Romney has no answers but if you say the same thing over and over without somebody fact checking you some fools will believe you. The main point should be why did he say one thing to his GOP at the nomination but is now saying something different. Did he flip flop or did he find out the only way to win the election is to say what people want to hear but don't do it when elected.

    I see you're EXTREMELY English-impaired.

    He REPEATEDLY explained that he plans to REPEAT actions that have ALWAYS delivered skyrocketing EMPLOYMENT.

    He hasn't given a direct answer to anything yet, and he just tried to strong-arm Candy Crowley the way he did Jim Lehrer.
