LAN Network Questions?
I have Windows 7 on an HP Laptop.
When I connect to a LAN network, I have two problems:
1)How do I send a file to another computer over a LAN? I have NEVER figured this out
2)My computer can't see the LAN if my wireless is connected to the internet. That is, I can't join the game hosted on LAN if I am also connected to the internet.
Can you help?
Thanks!!!

Ok so I can't really answer the fileshare thing but I would just say use dropbox or email. The second part, buy a hub (switch) go to your local computer stuff store and ask one of the tech department salesmen about it, that way you plug in your internet in one port, and all your computers plug into the hub as well. it basically combines internet with lan in a very simple way. If all your computers are connected to your router though (wirelessly or hardwired) you will still have lan. The only benefit of a hub is that it will let your lan run as fast as possible (good for gaming and related, etc) but your internet will go however fast it is. so basically, if your using your router as the hub, your lan will suck, but if you use a dedicated hub as the hub, lan goes fast. it is going to likely be like a great call with each and all of the rooms would have (possibly) a single cable run lower back to a single factor (the router). in my view... wirelesss! ignore with regard to the fewer than.... it is a great call topology... for info only google and seem on the photographs.
