How do New Yorkers live?

Hello!

I have an oral assignment in English on the "social lives" of New Yorkers.

Basically I have to talk about the New York lifestyle for one minute but I don't know a thing about it...Could you please help me out?

Thank you!

It all depends on the specific neighborhood. There are some areas where the people can't afford to "go out", so their "social life" is just hanging out on the corners, or they just spend time with their friends and families indoors. In other areas, they might go out to a bar, while out in more suburban areas, they might go to the mall, or they might take the family out to a restaurant or to an attraction like the zoo.

This is a big city, and different people live differently.

That's what's great about life here - the diversity. That doesn't just mean racial or ethnic diversity, but ALL kinds of diversity.

There are more different kinds of people here than you could possibly imagine!

You really can't make generalizations about a place like NYC.

Ignore the person that said we live in fear of being killed. They couldn't afford NYC, and they are probably just ignorant.

We are like normal people, but we live a very fast paced life. The energy and movement of NYC has a very "going and going" kind of feel. We work hard, and at night, we play harder! We have some awesome nightlife in Manhattan, especially in Times Square, Meatpacking District, etc.

    Hope this helped!!!(:

t is clear that this predominance of housing demand by non-nuclear families, who are seeking shelter in a housing stock largely not intended for their use, is distorting the housing market as a whole.

In hell. They have to spend 21/24 hours awake working their **** off for 364 days a year and living in fear of getting murdered. NYC is no fun.
