B16 block, pistons, piston rings, rods and caps, main caps, rod and main bearings, a crank shaft, oil pump, oil pan, oil pan gasket, a head, head studs, valves, valve seals, valve springs and retainers, rocker arms, cams, cam bearings, cam caps, cam cap bolts, the vtec spool valve, a vtec solenoid, an intake manifold, intake gasket, fuel injectors, fuel rail, valve cover, spark plugs, plug wires, exhaust manifold (header), exhaust manifold gasket, water pump, timing belt tensioner, timing belt, alternator, valve cover gasket, head gasket, cam seal, distributor, rear main seal, flywheel, clutch disc and pressure plate, pilot bearing. thats not even an entire list thats just what i could think of off the top of my head. and on top of all that you will need a transmission, a shift linkage, a wiring harness, an ecu, and motor mounts. to be honest if you have to ask what you will need on yahoo answers im sorry but you probably wont be able to build your own engine. and honestly buying all the parts and building it yourself is gonna cost WAY more than buying a used B16. plus if you dont have all the tools you will have to buy those, and there are a few specialty tools that you will need that can get kind of pricey such as a torque wrench. I'm not saying it isn't good to learn it really is but you cant just buy all the parts and bolt them all together without knowing what exactly goes where and all the torque specs and things like valve lash adjustment and expect it to work. you cant just sit down and learn all of this in one day it takes a long time to learn and remember. you need to have someone teach you and if that isnt possible then just buy and engine and have someone put it in for you because you can waste a serious amount of money if it isnt done right.
