Why not? Your pundits have fooled you into believing that the Democrats had full control of Congress and apparently were able to pass any number of bills over Bush's veto. Feel free to list them for us.
Edit: Yes, we blame the GOP for our lack of progress, but we do not blame them from what started in 2007. If you want to prove they didn't obstruct things, please explain to us what Mitch McConnell meant when he said their main objective was to make sure Obama didn't get reelected.

The housing bubble and the banking deregulations that caused the economic collapse started in 2002. Well before the Democrats took control of congress. Why do the conservatives like to ignore their own history.

Well, even with control of both houses, its still somehow the GOP's fault that Obama's genius plans weren't passed.
Now, he's blaming the GOP double time, because they have the House now.
