Light was proved to not be "constant" long ago.

It's speed in a vacuum is believed to be constant.

    See the second paragraph here:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_of_light

What's important for the theory of relativity is that the speed of light in a vacuum remains constant **no matter what the relative speed of the observer's frame of reference**.

If we discovered tomorrow that the speed of light in a vacuum was *not* constant, it would not affect the trustworthiness (or lack thereof) of the theory of species evolution one iota. **The two things have no relationship to each other whatsoever.**

So if it's never shown not to be constant in a vacuum..

What then...? It shows science IS infallible?

Hasn't happened yet soooooo..... this is why these types of questions are ridiculous....

BTW, no one has ever said that science is infallible... it's a tool used to understand the natural world and it corrects itself when better information is provided...

    Unlike religious dogma...

    Nope!

no it wouldnt. the change in the theory of one thing wouldnt effect the valaditiy of another. Oh whats the use Jesus did it. Your an idiot.

  • I think you've shown us all that your language skills and thought processes are embarrassing to the rest of us homo sapiens.

Source(s): Science: adjusts to new data coming in. This is sane. Religion: denies new data. This is stupid. And you say science is fallible. Funny.
