tinted back window and back defroster came off?

Tinted back window on a 2010 mazda 3 with only 3k miles. never had been tinted and as soon as we laid the tint on the back glass the defroster was coming apart. We thought it was dirt so we were peeling the tint back and the defroster was coming off along. used sungard gp max. need help due to customer is stating that mazda doesnt want to warranty it out.

    If Mazda won't warranty the glass and your repair order does not exempt you from this sort of damage (and the customer signed the repair order) you are legally required to replace the glass if necessary. I was in the auto business for 38 years. I don't know of anything that can be used to reapply the original grid. The only other option is to ask the customer if he uses the defroster. If not you should offer the tint job for free to make up the damage. If you have to replace the glass it will cost more than your tint. But DON'T tint the new one.
