Why is such a big deal being made out of the "Binders full of women" remark?

When placed in context, it doesn't really seem that bad to me. Why am I wrong?

You're not. Its not a big deal. We joke about it, but no one I know would actually worry about gaffes when it came time to choose. You keep a camera on someone that much, have them talk so much that they are inevitable.

We only do it because the rightwingers constantly, *constantly* distort everything the president says. They rip it out of context and claim it reality. They build conventions on it.

I think it's just people having a little joke...

    I don't think it's a big deal...

I'm a dem... I didn't even notice it at first...

then I noticed it online, then I went back and read the context... then I smirked... and that was it...

we should get back to the issues... like record drops in the unemployment rate, and gallup having the unemployment rate at 7.3 percent and 4 year highs in consumer confidence and new construction...

and how Mitt was 47th in job creation in Mass...

    Because it was extremely funny.

And because it was later revealed that no one in his administration "went out" to look for women; he didn't go " to a number of women's groups and said, 'Can you help us find folks."

They came from MassGAP, which is affiliated with the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus. The group compiled the names of female applicants BEFORE Romney came to office and offered them to both Romney and his Democratic opponent Shannon O'Brien.

IT's because DEMS have never thought of using the most qualified people from their resume' binders. They must put their resumes' on napkins.

well, it is apparently ok with libbies to chase young girls around the oval office with a cigar but keeping their resumes in binders in juust crossing the line. LOL!

Because apparently most Democrats are dimwitted and immature.

First debate: Obama got brutalized for an hour, and all they came out with was a skewed Big Bird comment.

Last debate: A good performance from Obama, and all they came out with was a "binders" meme.

Whether their guy does good or bad, it seems like all they retained was the silliest comment of the debate.

It's just one more in a long list of stupid things Mittens has said in this campaign. But the conservatives are suffering from Romnesia and tend to forget that.
